Advises Quandt’s Foodservice in sale to US Foods
Keiter Stephens Advisors announced the sale of Quandt’s Foodservice in Amsterdam, New York to US Foods. Following a transition period, the company’s business operations will be transferred to US Foods’ Albany distribution center.
The sale marked KSA’s 20th transaction in the food distribution industry, including broadliners, meat processers and produce distributors. KSA has represented sellers in two thirds of those transactions, and advised the buyers in the remaining ones.
“KSA is extremely well grounded in our industry and does a terrific job of representing their clients’ interests. They know how to complete a transaction in a timely and professional manner and we look forward to working with them again.” said Bryan A. Torcivia, US Foods’ SVP, Mergers & Acquisitions.
“Based on the number of calls we are getting from both buyers and sellers, we believe 2014 will see a continuation of the consolidation in our industry.” said KSA Managing Director, Bill Beattie.
KSA also has an active consulting practice. The firm has worked with the owners of over 100 distribution companies to help them resolve their most challenging business issues.
